$11.4M deal in style
This New York City-based, nationwide specialty retailer of fashion-forward women's apparel, accessories, and beauty products was already beloved by a growing customer base due to its stylish wear-to-work brand and affordable prices.
However, when regional outages and unreliable dial back-up resulted in excessive store downtime, the client’s outdated method of manually shipping 4G floater devices out to the troubled location just didn’t cut it anymore.

When the client’s contract expired with their current provider, Carrier Source, their already long-established data services consultant, championed Windstream Enterprise to leverage their existing 100%
uptime SLA (service level agreement), virtually knocking out another bidding competitor.

Windstream proposed replacing POTS (plain old telephone service) and installing Windstream Hybrid WAN with IPSEC Advanced, 4G back-up and 2200 lines of Hosted Voice Analog. The full network transformation—which included mobile kiosk, instore WiFi and PCI (payment card industry)—supported client operations with secure bandwidth and 100% uptime.
This $11.4 million collaborative deal brought $190,000 MRC over 5-years for Windstream, and justified the network transformation cost by saving the client 50K+ monthly while also setting the stage for the potential adoption of Windstream SD-WAN in the future.
